The park boards have done an excellent job of working to maintain the wooded areas by hiring tree specialists to come in and trim the trees and remove dead ones. Now it is time to work on replacing those trees. You can help by donating to our replacement fund. This is an invitation for you to help us with a donation and/or consider becoming a working member of the tree committee. See below how you can help!
Donate to the Sapling Program. The money will be spent on ordering small saplings for the public areas of Good Templar Park and the Community Association.
Donate a larger tree as a way of celebrating the birth of a family member, a wedding, anniversary, or in memory of a lost loved one. The amount of a large tree begins at $300.00. You can choose from our list of recommended trees. These trees will be planted in the public areas of Good Templar Park. We will contact you to help with the selection of the tree and confirm the amount of the tree.
Donate to the Native Flower Fund. The money will be used to add flowers that are native to Illinois and will be planted in the public areas of the park.
Make a donation to the Tree Replacement Fund and Native Illinois Flowers:
______$100.00 ______$50.00 _________ $25.00
other amount of $________
Make the check payable to “Central States Regional Council” and your donation will be tax deductible. Please mail it to:

We are so glad that the founding members of the park planted the beautiful tree that we enjoy in the park today. Now we need to think about what we will leave for future members of Good Templar Park. So in Celebration of EARTH DAY, let's get planting!
